Lee Johnson, CPA, CGMA, CFP®

As the founder and managing partner of the firm and the chief investment officer, Lee is involved first-hand with clients to provide comprehensive financial planning including investment, tax, and estate planning. He has expertise dealing with business owners, high net worth professionals, physicians and corporate retirees. He also focuses on business exit and succession planning, as well as, retirement planning.

Prior to joining Southern Capital, Lee was a Senior Vice President at Merrill Lynch. Before that he spent several years with Alexander Thompson Arnold, a large regional accounting firm as a CPA. While there he earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation.

Lee is an avid outdoorsman and runner and loves all pursuits outdoors. He is also active coaching youth football and serves on the Board of Trustees for Freed-Hardeman University. He and his wife Jennifer have four children, Sadie, Jack, Will and Millie. They attend the Spring Creek Church of Christ.
